Best free alternative to Adobe Photoshop & illustrator

I'm not paying a monthly license fee of £60 to use Photoshop and illustrator.

What's the best free or cheap alternative, is it affinity pro and inkscape? I don't like gimp tbh.

It has so many applications.

- Comical photoshops and mergers of photos
- Drawing anime or tracing shaded cartoons to counter IncelTear (like GameDevCel does)
- You can even animate and do animation with it (without the need for scanned paper A4 drawings, you can do it all in programme- paper and paint free. No need for cell shaded drawing anymore- with digital colour palettes)
