Did Elliot Rodger realize his social interiority and the fact he'd always be regarded as a second class citizen compared to NT's? Did he realize he'd struggle for basic relationships while the NT's around him were a handed a huge circle of friends, family and lovers, just because they fit in? Did he realize he'd never ascend because everyone was against him, due to his disability, and realized the only honorable way out was revenge?

I wouldn't call it autism. I'd call it lack of social development due to his looks. He got bullied in high school and got his parents to transfer him to the alternative school. There he rotted playing World of Warcraft, and did not try to work on his social life.

After that, he went to two colleges where he did not live on campus but commuted, so no way to make friends. By the time he got to University of California Santa Barbara, he was so socially ostracized and the people there were already in their tight knit social groups. At that point, without Chad looks, it was over.

He was diagnosed with PDD-NOS, which is on the autistic spectrum.
"PDD-NOS is often called atypical autism, because the criteria for autistic disorder are not met,"

Seems borderline autist.

Either way, the way you put it, is that he knew he could never fit in, yes, he knew the only way to get even was the day of retribution. He never referred to it in his manifesto as autism, he called it social anxiety. But that is also a social problem like autism, so I think the same logic follows.

He was going ER no matter what. It was his destiny

His autism was definitely part of it. A lot of mass shooters (who were white/asian, there are many more black mass shooters who do it as part of being violent criminals) had autism, schizoprenia or severe PTSD.
