edgy usually means melodramatic, pretentious, self pitying, etc. painting yourself as a "dark lonely outcast who is unjustly rejected by society" because you can't rape children, despite having opportunities for normal sex and relationships, fits that description quite well. it's also laughable and pathetic

Most of the use cases I have seen for "edgy" come from Reddit, where they use it to usually describe people that act tough but do not look like it (Basically a black-pill) or in any other case where someone believes that a person is just saying something just for the shock value and do not intend to do it, both cases which do not apply.
