Starting this Friday and going through Sunday. Drink water of course. Maybe if interested we could get the group members and make a post that is like a log where we can support each other and document our observations, both good and bad.

Also if you want to do it but don’t know if you can last the whole time, that’s fine, you can bow out at any time with no hard feelings.

I'd try fasting, but my parents start to question and bother me if they notice I eat less
they're agents of Demiurge and will bully me for trying anything spiritual (fasting doesn't have to be spiritual, but that's the common association)
 
Just lose what little muscle you have for no appreciable benefit theory

I am practically fasting because of the palate expander I have fitted. It's annoying to chew, food gets stuck in it and my sense of taste is severely diminished.

I rather walk 20 miles a day than fast tbh.

Am I food Addict? Where did i mentioned that? I eat 5 healthy protein rich meals a day. I'm gaining muscle and loosing fat, would NEVER trade it for muh detox muh growth hormone muh fasting. JFL.

Maybe a very small amount. If you lose a ton of muscle in 3 days it’s over for you. Me personally, I’m on Test so I will lose very little. But for bodybuilding purposes I don’t recommend going over 3 days fast. That is where catabolism really kicks is.

Tbf, fasting results in HGH spikes (around 2000% in men and 1400% in women). This preserves precious tissue, like skin, bone, and muscle. Periodic, intermittent fasting can do wonders for your training.

Fasting for fat loss is stupid because

1.) Weight loss illusion.

3 day fasting will deplete your glycogen reserves and you'll loose all the water weight. Now your weight machine tells you that you're 10lbs lighter in 3 days and you think it's all fat so now you're addicted to fasting.

2.) Binge eating

You break the fast with 5000-6000 cals meals and then you gain back all the weight.

It's a never ending cycle. I was fasting like that for 6 months got little to no results.
Now that I'm on a lean cut I'm seeing results fast every week.

Fasting for non Fatloss reasons is fine tbh, but that temporary HGH spike that you speak of is mostly a meme tbh.

This 3 day fast isn't helpful. I'm talking specifically about intermittent fasting for 16-20 hours per day, 2-3 times per week. You can avoid binge eating by gradually reconditioning your body's ghrelin release.

The HGH spikes are established medical facts. The benefits of this excess secretion shouldn't be dismissed. Every time I need to cut weight I fast. The strength losses are minimal, and that's mostly attributed to depleted glycogen stores in the muscles.

It's not for everyone, though. Different people have different responses to certain training and conditioning stimuli. Fasting is a form of conditioning (to hunger).
