The left tend to be higher on neuroticism. Basically you have mentally impaired media conditioned neurotic people being driven insane by social media.
Then add on top of that the obsession since the 1980's with "upward mobility" which meant everyone had to go to university and get a degree - never mind the more people have a thing the more its value deceases. So you funnel all these people who aren't very bright - midwits and halfwits into liberal arts courses and feed them a diet of critical theory, identity based politics and social justice. Now these people have a stunning case of the Dunning-Krueger effect on top of their simple minded media narratives and social media induced insanity.
