Depends if you're doing half-reps or full reps. ;) Most people who stack 5 or 6 plates on either side are all doing half reps or quarter reps. Building their egos but not their muscles.

For a beginner, assuming full reps, that's very good. In any event, as long as you're doing more than you were last month you're doing good.
