Same boat lonely no friends and shit social skills and depression eating away at me and I think I might be losing it a bit as I am seeing shit sometimes while trying to go to sleep and waking up choking for some reason and I am talking to myself as though I am having a conversation with someone so I can't help by giving you an answer sorry.
I'm over 30 and I'm alone. I am totally fine with it. Copes are good definitely, but once you accept in the modern world women will only value you if you look like Hemsworth or momoa and have sub 8% bf, and bench over 120k, then you stop caring.
I am still depressed, but not so much about being alone, more about how I've been treated by foids. Then you think you may as well do shit for yourself, for your own sense of achievement.
I don't advocate LDAR or neet lifestyle, I think it is worth just working on yourself, because remember this extreme version of the world only came into effect post GFC and tinder. It is equally possible the world will change, and foids lose some of that market making power, and then maybe I can have a good life.
I know I can get a gf or a wife, but I won't because I know now they won't ever respect me and will assume I'm a simp. Any girl who I wasn't good enough for to hook up with I'm not gonna give a chance to, and that's really important when you start focusing on yourself.
Also try and avoid places where you will see the obvious. For me seeing nightlife is really depressing because of how I see normies interacting with foids, and know I can never have that (I've never even approached a foid in my pathetic life), same way poorcels avoid places where rich cels gather.

Make more than enough money for a comfortable living (this goes a long way), stay healthy as much as possible for as long as possible (because one day a foid who wishes you were dead might be getting paid to change your adult diapers in some retirement home), and constantly find new ways to keep your brain fresh and active with positive learning stimulation (take up a new hobby that doubles as a useful skill, like martial arts or sport shooting). If possible, get additional degrees or training certificates that complement your career - it pays massive dividends.
You're going to die one day anyway. May as well try to live it as best you can for yourself.

I'm 38 and haven't found a way to stop the depression. I have figured out how to get by being alone though. Basically what others have already said, learn to be self sufficient so you're not worrying about money. It's easier to be alone if you're not struggling to survive. Avoid places where you're likely to see happy families, people with their friends, night life, etc. as seeing it in front of you can leave you dwelling on it. Find interests and hobbies to fill your time with. Yeah sure, everybody here is going to tell you you're coping, but once you're older you're better off accepting you've been dealt a shitty hand and just make the best of it. There are other things that can bring some enjoyment to your life. And you better focus on those other things because women, friends, and families obviously aren't in your future if you've reached 30's without them.
