Honestly, it's one of the best things I can remember. Simplistic and wonderful. Lots of flashy sites with those flashy .gifs and buttons around the header and footer. I was always fascinated on what it was gonna look like the next day. CSS 2.1 era (2004-2005?) is when it started to become different and shaped into the Internet we know today.

I was like 2 1/2 years old when I first started using a computer (I was 3 when I used the Internet for the first time), so I remember it well. It also didn't help that my house had outdated technology. I think we switched to satellite from dial-up in 2005.

People always think I'm lying when I talk about how young I was when I started using the Internet, but this is basically how it worked (in case you can't tell, I'd just stack pillows on the chair after booting it up):

I grew up in the 90's so I experienced not only early 2000's internet but 1990's internet. Thinking about that makes me long for those old simplier times before social media and dating apps and smartphones came along and shat everything up.

i was small at that time tbh

Yes, and it had friendly teen girls, and other kinds of my blogmaxxing fans

I am 100% sure that smartphones ruined internet, they allowed too many normies to flood the internet.

even pre-2010/pre-smartphone internet was much better
I'd even go as far as to say 2012 tipped the iceberg, an actual apocalypse

2012/2013 was the end of an era.
Everything started to go on a downward spiral after 2014 began.

Yeah I started using internet on year 2000

I’m a zoomer so I didn’t even start using the internet until 2006. In 2003 I was in kindergarten.

No. I'm an old fuck.

Before YouTube, you had to download a videoplayer and videos were all around different websites
i wont make it to 25 so mogs me

I did once before but that's it

Remember flash animations?

I used in 2003 I was 34. I used to go on dating sites and literally cry out loud, beat myself up, and get drunk while browsing dating and marriage sites, from morning when i got off of work to night time when it was time to go to work again. Because i knew i'd never have that life and no woman wants me.

Oh man, I can relate to that part so much. After one particulary bad evening of browsing OkCupid I destroyed one of my favourite figures.

Yes and I miss it with all my heart I especially miss playing Battleon Adventure Quest I spend so many hours on that game. I miss how simply and easy the internet was like the old school forum layouts like myspace and just the internet in general was just a gem.

I was born 1992 so I had a couple years of it, I remember it cost more to use before 6pm, I used to download music from Limewire and one song would take over a week. The porn was very simple, a load of thumbnail photos of women stripping, you certainly couldn't watch clips of amateur college thots getting fucked in dorm like you can now.

Yeah I remember what a hassle it was to get songs, when I heard a song I loved from a friend´s phone I would be so obessed with them sending it to me by bluetooth of course nowadays I can download any song from youtube. I miss it though the excitement of getting a song on my phone after all the trouble.

Yes bro. I have vague recollections of using Netscape Navigator on a dial-up connection in the late 1990s. The distinct, ear-piercing squeaky dial-up tone, having to keep an eye on the clock to see how long I'd been connected so I wouldn't run up too high a bill and having to get off when someone wanted to use the phone. Not so good times, man...not so good times.
