I think of it as being like weight classes in boxing/mma, although the analogy isn't perfect as in reality the difference in weight class power is much bigger than the amount height multiplies looks by (although height is still important as fuck).

A very skilled middleweight (extremely good looking, average height) can smash an unskilled heavyweight (ugly + tall). But once that heavyweight becomes more skilled (better looking), his height (weight class) means he can be much less skilled and win easily.

This is probably the most autistic post I've ever made but it's a way to think about height.

It's funny how normies understand why weight classes exist in fighting. But these same normies will expect a turbomanlet to compete in dating with tall guys. Same goes for any other trait. Asking a guy with a micropenis to compete with hung guys is cruel and unusual. The reason incels exist is because there are no weight classes in real life.

Just like how Floyd Mayweather will never beat a heavyweight champ no matter how skilled he is, women will never get wet for a 5'2 balding Indian no matter how good his pickup skills are. True. Its well known that taller fighters always have the advantage. Being taller usually means stronger frame and more reach. If they can use their reach to their advantage, they will always tire out the fighter with the shorter reach eventually (even if the short reach fighter is good at getting inside).
