How do you feel about pornhub deleting almost all its videos?

I guess you're all aware that pornhub deleted 66% of all its content because it was uploaded by unverified profiles, that is to say users that didn't upload a pic of themselves holding a sign saying pornhub and your username. The reasons they did it was because apparently there was a shitton of illegal porn in the site (I never saw any though) and it came from unverified profiles, so instead of deleting the videos one by one they have deleted them all. Millions of porn videos lost forever.

Tbh I don't care much, I don't watch much porn and I always used xvideos way more than pornhub kek. Also I think it's just another excuse to put more ads, get more revenue and eventually turn pornhub into a premium site. I don't care much, but I won't use the site now anymore. I used to go on PH very often, but one day I discovered a video game that had much more sexual effect on me than those videos. Why staying a spectator when your can be a (virtual) actor ? And fortunately, Steam has authorized sex video games.

It also will help lead to a greater migration to deepfake and artificially generated porn. Human produced porn will be going out the door in 5 years. I've thought the same tbh. They say the reason is illegal porn, but I guess it's just to look good in public. First it will be that you can only upload videos and register if you're verified and then probably you'll have different memberships depending on the type of content. You want only amateur content? Pay 10$. You also want professional content? Pay 20$. And those who don't pay will only have access to trailers, short videos or maybe no videos at all. Maybe I'm right maybe I'm wrong but if simps pay for onlyfans why wouldn't they pay for pornhub?

Also pornhub always felt a bit like "social media" site rather than porn and they spend much more cash on marketing and ads than other sites. You never see xvideos or redtube on headlines but pornhub yes. Looks suspicious kek.

Deleting everything is a very lazy way to moderate content. If you really want to approach the issue properly you'd invest some of the millions you make into more moderators to regulate the content that is uploaded, but I don't think that was their intention anyway. Youtube has the same issue with videos of allah akbar beheadings uploaded nonstop and yet it doesn't go full retard and delete more than half of their videos despite having a young audience, but I'm pretty sure will do the same thing PH did in the next years. Also, I haven't seen any illegal videos on PH ever, probably this was twitter just being overreacting bitches as usual.
