Yeah, I did hear that something like 25% of girls in Central America are mothers by age 17. I guess because it's Catholic it would be considered Western, but I think it's seen as a weird hybrid region. Peru and Boliva for example are less "Western" than say Chile. I don't think that's just related to wealth, but also customs and demographics.
