I always kinda assumed one of the first people to develop the balding gene either rapemaxxed or haremmaxxed early on in human history thus having a lot of kids that would spread his genes and not that balding is genetically or even aesthetically advantages

Balding usually appears after the age that people had kids for most of human history. Going bald at 30 doesn't affect your spreading your genes when you already had 5 kids by the time you were 25.
