Media Javier Bardem's role as Anton Chigurh in "No Country for Old Men" wasn't that good

I'm not saying he's a bad actor, I'm saying people give him too much credit for that role. He won (((the academy award for best supporting actor))) for doing something that pretty much anyone can do. Anyone can act like the archetypical psychopathic cold hitman, but only actors like Javier Bardem have the physical appearance to be taken seriously and make the character look real. The guy is tall, has gigamogger bone structure, massive skull, sexually dimorphic facial features, and the deepest voice in hollywood. He doesn't need to do anything to look intimidating, he already looks like a psycho, he just has to act cold and say a couple of lines and he's done. He didn't win the award cuz he's a good actor, he won because of his appearance.
I mean, he did a good job hiding his spanish accent but aside from that, I don't see what's so great about his role as Anton...

Too lazy to watch the clips but I thought he was pretty convincing as a psycho when I watched the movie a few years ago

He doesn't need to do anything to look intimidating, he already looks like a psycho, he just has to act cold and say a couple of lines and he's done. He didn't win the award cuz he's a good actor, he won because of his appearance.

Yeah, they couldn't have picked a better actor for that role, he did a good job. I'm just saying that his job wasn't hard and it didn't take much skill.
