Perfect enclosures were built for large populations of mice meant to represent a city, all food, water and shelter (basic needs) were given.

The utopia initially fucked like crazy until overpopulation.

After this social classes developed where the alpha male mice would herd all the beta males into separate parts of the enclosure and fight them off from approaching any female mice they kept guarded on their side.

The beta makes would initially turn to violence, fighting each other or trying to enter the alpha side and rape a female, but would be killed by alphas in the process. Eventually they just rotted away, losing all desires and will to live.

The alpha males would eventually turn violent, raping and killing the females and eventually the beta survivors themselves, basically forming violent mobs that destroyed everything. This impact on the females changed their psychology too, making them violent toward their own children and lose all desire to procreate.

The surviving children of the generation would become social outcasts hidden away from the colony, although self sustained and satisfied in health. They ate and slept normally, but had no drive for sex. This generation of isolation led to the extinction of the colony.

Obviously the experiment was compared to the future of humanity. what stage are we at currently?

It's really an interesting experiment that one can easily bend to fit his ideology .
but i don't really think that you can compare mice to humans .
we would need to make the same test , but with humans instead .
