“Shyness can stop you from doing all the things in life you’d like to” :feels::feels::feels:

Jfl listen to something cheerful for once.

I do, it’s just that browsing here allows me to indulge into my self pity. Probably should stay away but have nothing better to do.

I may hate the habsburg monarchy but the anthem is pretty cool I guess

Accidentally came across this song by clicking on the wrong one when searching for a different song with the same song title so decided to give it a listen. Not disappointed. Decent song.

Love this song.

BANG BANG BANG
PULL MY DEVIL TRIGGER

The stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone-a sing it brother
The stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone
You're a builder, baby
Here I am, a stone
Don't you pick and refuse me
'Cause the things people refuse
Are the things they should choose
Do you hear me?
Hear what I say!
Stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone-a tell me why
The stone that the builder refuse, yeah!
Will always be the head cornerstone
Here I am baby
I am, a builder's stone!
Don't you pick and refuse me, listen
The tings people refuse
Are the things they should use
Do you hear me
Hear what I say
The stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone
The stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone
The stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone
The stone that dem builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone
The stone that the builder refuse
Will always be the head cornerstone
The stone...

A reference from the Bible, Psalm 118: because he was very spiritual which gives an impact on the listener and hear how rejected he felt. And, Matthew 21:42: Then Jesus asked them, "Didn't you ever read this in the Scriptures? The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing, and it is wonderful to see.

Catch A Fire was the album that introduced the world to Bob Marley, the first international reggae superstar. And "Concrete Jungle," as the first track on the album, was the song that introduced listeners to Catch A Fire. So this is arguably the song that launched the transformation of reggae music from a purely local Jamaican art form into a global pop phenomenon.

The story of "Concrete Jungle" is thus a story of cultural Marxist globalization and global Capitalism.

No sun will shine in my day today (no sun will shine)
The high yellow moon won't come out to play
(that high yellow moon won't come out to play)
I said (darkness) darkness has covered my light
(and the stage) And has changed my day into night, yeah
Where is the love to be found? (oh-oh-oh)
Won't someone tell me?
Cause my (sweet life) life must be somewhere to be found
(must be somewhere for me)
Instead of concrete jungle (la la-la!)
Where the living is harder (la-la!)

Concrete jungle (la la-la!)
Man you got to do your (la la-la!) best. Whoa, yeah
No chains around my feet
But I'm not free, oh-ooh!
I know I am bound here in captivity
G'yeah, now (never, never) I've never known happiness
(never, never) I've never known what sweet caress is
Still, I'll be always laughing like a clown
Won't someone help me? 'Cause I (sweet life)
I've got to pick myself from off the ground
(must be somewhere for me), he-yeah!
In this a concrete jungle (la la-la!)
I said, what do you cry for me (la-la!) now, o-oh!
Concrete jungle (la la-la!), ah, won't you let me be (la la-la!), now
Hey! Oh, now!

I said that life (sweet life) it must be somewhere to be found
(must be somewhere for me)
Oh, instead, concrete jungle (la-la!) collusion (la-la!)
Confusion (confusion). Eh!

Concrete jungle (la-la!) baby, you've got it in
Concrete jungle (la la-la!), now. Eh!
Concrete jungle (la la-la!)

What do you stand for me (la-la!), now?

"No chains around my feet, but I'm not free"
"Where is the love to be found?"
I love these lines

Some good old Brazilian music from the 1960's, they created a musical style known as Bossa Nova, a lyrical fusion of samba and jazz.

Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 - Berimbau. There is many version of this song, the most famous is this one together with Baden Powell and Astrud Gilberto.

Lyrics:

Quem é homem de bem não trai
O amor que lhe quer seu bem

Quem diz muito que vai, não vai
Assim como não vai, não vem

Quem de dentro de si não sai
Vai morrer sem amar ninguém

O dinheiro de quem não dá
É o trabalho de quem não tem

Capoeira que é bom não cai
Mas se um dia ele cai, cai bem

Capoeira me mandou dizer que já chegou
Chegou para lutar

Berimbau me confirmou, vai ter briga de amor
Tristeza, camará

Translation:
He who is a good man does not betray
The love that wants the best for him

He who often says he will leave, he does not
As he never leaves, he never arrives

He who does not leave himself
Will die having loved no one

The money of the one who does not give
Is the labor of the one who does not have

A good capoeira never falls
But if one day he falls, he falls well

Capoeira tells me to say he has already arrived,
He has arrived to fight

Berimbau assures me, there will be lovers' quarrel
Such sadness, my friend

I wish I was a Chad or Tyrone grinding against a Stacy at a club to this tune
