I might have been in the rivalry unknowingly as I didn't have a problem with DBZ, but I always saw if Goku was Stacy, Naruto was the landwhale. Same yellow hair and orange suit, but more annoying and more unlikable than him so I never care to watch Naruto past like 2 episodes.

Naruto was a lot more martial arts and physical fighting based like Dragonball while dbz had more ki blasts and power up action.
If you liked Dragonball then Naruto probably appealed to you also.

The war arcs are one of my favourites in naruto when they do flashbacks from ninja wars but whats the fucking point of a war if its just like 20 guys vs 100,000 ninjas thats so fucking retarded they should have made countries go vs eachother so there could be lots of semi-skilled ninjas fighting on equal grounds instead of madara wiping out fucking 20,000 ninajs all by himself lol.
