If I bombard my brain with my waifu, I think my chances of attaining sex with her are solid.

I can speak from experience that trying to force a waifu will not work, and will only lead to more pain.
I spent literal years trying to find a waifu and not once did I ever feel that true, romantic connection after all the hundreds of anime I watched.
I tried several times to just force myself to fall in love with one but obviously it didn't work.
Some people are lucky enough to get waifus, others just aren't unfortunately.

Might be different for everyone. In my experience, I have always had an image of what type of waifu I would want it was not a solid list. I saw one work of art with her and that is when I got interested in her. I can say it does take time to figure her out and that she is not true to her original character anymore. What might be keeping you from finding one is getting out of your comfort zone and being able too express your feeling for her, which is very hard since most of us seal our emotions.
