I was a user since 4chan first began, it used to be an awesome image board filled with freaks and weirdos like myself that provided non stop entertainment for the internet. Now it's a normie cesspool filled with nothing but dumb shit.

I was permabanned a few months ago for some bullshit, but I consider it a blessing because the real 4chan is dead. In my opinion? It died with Christopher Poole, the real moot.

So RIP 4chan, I'll always remember your legendary threads and the sense of solidarity I felt being with the freaks of the internet, the only people who ever truly accepted me.

^ A good example of this are gore/shock sites. Gore in itself is pretty based, but when a site like liveleak grows and becomes the most known among normies, it becomes the most cucked/censored (Gore that they usually use for attention seeking, I.e. seeming edgy or virtue signaling).

Lesser known sites (not just applied to gore but in general) are more based because they don’t have to fear the reprocussions or loss of traffic like bigger sites do. They don’t have to cater to the new normie demographic that populates their site, and the normies can continue using their platform to regurgitate the same cucked bluepilled nonsense.

I'm 25 years old and spent over 10 years shitposting on 4chan, I still remember rushing home from school to catch up on /b/ shenanigans and felt like it was my own little hideaway from the world since the Internet was still somewhat uncucked in a way. Plus there wasn't any phoneposting etc. So many good memories like Jessi Slaughter, Chris-Chan, Habbo raids and BTFOing foids who came for attention only to cower when doxxed then obviously the normies ruined it but found refuge from /b/ on /r9k/ and found like minded people and since I was getting older I started to relate more to life's struggles and even used to play Steam games with a few guys and felt like I found a community but that obviously became cucked too and more or less died off after people like Eggy stopped tripfagging and said it was a shit board.

Now jannies just ruined everything, it was more like the wild west back then and they didn't delete threads but now it's no fun allowed, /b/ is full of trap threads and edgy 13 year olds, /r9k/ ended up filled with discord-trannies and going the way of /b/. /v/ jannies seem to have been infiltrated and just straight up censor shit now.

I tried to move to 8chan a while back when Hotwheels said he'd allow shit like GamerGate thus more anons sought refuge to other boards but it's not the same.

I mostly avoid all types of imageboards now and just browse here and spend my days torrenting movies to watch and watching YouTube videos.

I still miss it since it was a big part of my life and miss the feeling of being "involved" in something where there wasn't any normies since normies didn't really browse the Internet as much as socially awkward and friendless people did.
