So yeah those are my favs ngl. I could've included borscht but I think everyone knows about it, but if you don't and want to make it you can google for borscht recipe lel. I rate it avg ngl, used it not like it in childhood but when I was 13 I started liking it ngl, so it's fine, typical soup for me I guess.

Most of my family is russian so I have a bit of experience. Schaschlik, Borsch, krebel, manti, Pilimeni etc

shashlik ("szaszłyk") usually refers to grilled veggies (or a mix of veggies and slices of meat or cheese) on a stick here, so it's kinda different, but good nonetheless

It can be alcoholic and non alcoholic ngl, tbh like I said it tastes like a mix of black bread and beer I guess, hard to describe because unique flavour ngl xd

Vanilla kvass sounds weird as fuck ngl xdd Let's say it's like sprite and fanta etc. sprite and fanta got their own unique tastes just like kvass ngl Although like I said brand matters too, some can be more bitter, some can be more sweeter thngl

yeah, kvass is the superior soft drink
for me it tastes like coke mixed with beer (idk if the mixture would taste good, but kvass sure does)
all kvass in Polish supermarkets is non-alcoholic (it can have up to like 1% alcohol due to fermentation, but it's just like kefir)
