i did it, i started reading Steel Ball Run and skipped over part 6 (still waiting for the anime)

i'm on chapter 25 ish, enjoying it so far. couple of thoughts

• i like gyro more so than johnny right now.
• don't like how they keep trying to push diego brando AKA Dio, i don't really understand why, just say diego, there's no reason to do that but then again maybe there is a reason and i don't yet know but doubt it
• stands are kind of wonky now, but i can get behind the devil's palm, no more arrows thing. never really cared for the concept of the arrow tbh.
• i was under the impression that spin was supposed to be the new hamon but then mountain tim called the curse from the devil's palm a stand even though most of the stands ive seen so far, don't stand next to anybody. but there isn't any reason to change the name though

i got into SBR manga too once I found people gushing over it and making fan soundtracks on youtube. up to chapter 13 or so I think. you reading the colored pdfs version too? that seems to be the best but I'm not sure if all the chapters are colored yet.
coping hard with colored SBR and the fanmade soundtracks and the fighting game themes for the racers, ngl.

ps: araki is obviously just having fun at this point, he doesn't really follow stand rules anymore, and characters just do random unexplained things like gyro's can thing, but w/e it's still fun to read

- The spin is this universes' Harmon.Unlike the original universe,stands here arent stronger than the spin,if anything,they tend to be weaker.
- Johnny is supposed to get better after a while
- To me personally,the best part was Johnny and gyro fucking around and saying stupid shit while riding their horses.
- This is technically not Dio.It is Diego.
- the devil's palm thing is alright,tbh.Im not too big of a fan of it,but it works.
- the stands will get more powerful as the story goes on.
- also,don't look up art or anything,because the ending is easily spoilable.Thats how I fucked up and spoiled it for myself.

but going in to Sbr I know even less about it than part 6, I knew the villian of sbr and his occupation before and the names Johnny and gyro.

I like that they have both a Hamon style ability and Stand powers, you can see the author trying to bring everything back.
And yeah I also enjoy the banter and interactions between the main characters the most, close second is the full page colored versions of them using their main ability.

I like gyros.

I think Gyro's name is supposed to make you think of gyroscopes, not food.

I skipped part 6 because it was 7 that was getting shilled the most online and it looks more interesting anyway.
