My mom has completely fallen for the mainstream media's narrative that violent videogames make the players go on shooting sprees and other shit.
I'm sitting down enjoying a game and she starts talking bullshit about how I should stop playing those games because they will make me go crazy like those guys she's seen on the news.
All she does is sit down playing candy crush and go on facebook, but I can't sit down and play my games.

Parents love to blame the shortcomings of their kids on everything but themselves. Just like we love to blame our parents for all our problems.

i couldn't play games in front of my mother until I was 14 because my brother failed school and she blamed in on WoW

what a dumb whore bitch. She deserves the rope.

I guess no CoD Zombies for Xmas for you this year

There's never been murder before games

I thought this mindset went extinct a few years ago since vidya became mainstream. I guess some people are still so low IQ to believe this bullshit.

“The bulk of the research suggests that the claims about negative effects of video gaming are largely myths and the positive effects are real.” (Gray, 2015, para. 17)
