I stopped play first person shooters in around 2011 when Battlefield 2 came out. It had pretty good graphics.

And when I see today's games like Battlefield 5 that are a decade more advanced, it's only slight better to the point where I feel like I haven't missed all that much.

tbh imo it's also because just like with this forum all the easy things that could be done and discussed have already been done so and it's much harder to make the next leap in discovery or come up with a truly innovative idea.

Sometimes I do feel like identity politics and excess focus on sexual dimorphism and the differences between men and women takes the focus off people in power and enables them to screw with the common citizen. That's why I don't cheer when "the blackpill", sexual dimorphic differences or culture war issues are discussed ad nauseam in the media because often these stories and themes that by now most people are familiar with are there to take the focus off serious policy issues.

Large scale, mass produced, quantum microchips and pocket electronic devices powered by quantum computers are currently as fantastical as the transporter from Star Trek.

There's also the question of utility. Classical computers can currently do everything the everyday person will ever need in their lives. What's quantum computing going to do for you, help you watch tik tok faster? It's mostly going to be used for computing and theoretical sciences to run simulations and attempt to solve problems in different complexity classes that are currently unfeasible due to time and resource limits.
