True considering the amount of Hikikomori and ricecels that exist there, why not?

Haven't heard anything ground breaking about VR since 2019 tbh
@NoCopeNoHope can you confirm?

VR is very promising imo because immersive VR experience is much more likely in the next few decades than fully functioning sexbots.

They should get a move on before opposition has a chance to enact serious restrictions on the development of such technology. You know it's coming tbh

Same, it's slow af

I've seen hybrids tbh. VR headset + add ons for sex experiences if you catch my drift

ngl before femoids force the gov's to make gigachad male sex bots and God forbid they finish developing that synthetic bone sperm or whatever it was. then it will be truly over for us.

tbh I really think the coronavirus slowed down potential VR development even though ironically working remotely (which would be a great use for VR) became more common this year.

Yeah I believe there is a field called teledildonics that might be the early stages of such a combined VR headset + add on experience.

Imo don't count on foid sexbots being available anytime soon.
It keeps getting pushed back.
In a way we're going to have to learn to cope with what we have.
Over time you can start to see potential upsides of this tbh

think of it in the same sense that a government big enough to give you anything is big enough to take things away from you.
Sexbots could be used as a way to leverage males to vote a certain way or act a certain way.
You already see that with the stories about how sexbots would come equipped with consent modules and be able to turn down customers that didn't "initiate" correctly.

But that synthetic bone sperm idea has been flouted for decades now ngl
The same people that gleefully anticipated this were the same people that were horrified by the idea of artificial wombs and surrogacy lol.

Nothing yet besides some experimental stuff. Its showing promise though. Haptic feedback and improved user hardware are the next steps. Maybe in the next year or two we'll get very good commercially available haptic tech for shit like extremity, genital and facial regions.

The problem with VR is that it will never be truly real, so unless the tech for BCIs and simulation coding gets to the point to where reality is indistinguishable from the virtual world (ala the Matrix), it will always feel fake. Since BCIs and simulations of this complexity are further away than actual physical gynoid robots, VR is not a good long term solution. I still think sexbots are more likely.

The next milestone for bots is walking and hip/body movement, both of which are already being worked on. The speed of development problem is really a very convoluted financial/money problem. VC firms won't touch XXX shit, neither will traditional lenders. So it'll have to be crowdsourced or come from an existing sex tech company.

One way a company could raise money is to create photorealistic automatically generated porn and AI camgirls. Its possible with relatively small amounts of money ($500k+/-) and some cheap wagies.
