The whole start your own business/entrepreneurship thing really pisses me off. It's so unrealistic and the whole topic is full of lies.

Starting your own business has to be the biggest lie ever told. It's necessary to believe in for capitalism to work though.

Guess what, can you start your own business? Sure, go ahead.

But the truth is, an overwhelming majority of businesses fail very quickly. But this fact also doesn't paint the full picture.

The only businesses that don't fail are either started by people already rich, people related or connected to the rich, started with corrupt/dirty money made through illicit activities etc...

In order to sell at a competitive price you would basically be working for under minimum wage, or even if you provided a service, you'd still end up worse off than just having a job, even after busting your ass of an ungodly amount of hours each day. I'm not just bullshitting here, I've done my research.

The odds of an average person starting his own business and actually succeeding are almost as likely as winning the lottery.

My point is, we're all slaves. Sure, some have it worse than others, but we are all slaves nonetheless.

P.S: Does not apply to cunthumans. They have too many shortcuts and workarounds. Though through their own stupidity, many fall into this slavery system too.

It's a Ponzi scheme, you start a business that teachers others how to start a business that teaches others how to start a business...ad nauseam.

The only "business" you can start is open a shop but when you see the profit margins you're better off spending your nights in a casino

it's just a shitty multi-level pyramid scheme, people see a rich guy with multiple businesses and tell themselves "if he can do it, surely i could too" they watch videos about "how i started my business, here are some tips to guarantee success, but first pay thousands to make sure it is a success"
he probably inherited the wealth or had connections with others to do so. you need to be rich in order to make yourself richer

Just be born rich theory tbh.

If you’ve got enough capital to start an actual business and not some bodega-tier cope, I’d just invest in the stock market (if in the US). It’s been moving at a 45 degree angle for so long that a serious correction would probably spell the end of life as we know it :feelsthink:

The problem is getting that capital in the first place. The average person even in rich countries like the US, has too many expenses to save up, even if they live frugally. And even if you have a well-paying job by the end of the day you're so drained of energy, that in the little time you have left, investing is the last thing you want to think about. It's all a well-oiled machine, we are all slaves unable to escape the system.

Every society needs a juicy carrot to dangle in front of the slaves to have them continue pushing the wheels. Entrepreneurship happens to be Capitalism's carrot. Some slaves escape and eat the carrot. Most continue to hungrily look at it.

Exactly, it's been happening since the dawn of civilization. We were better off in caves, slaughtering mammoths for a living.

The stock market is the biggest rigged game in the world. It is so heavily stacked against the average investor that it's worse than Mike Tyson in his prime beating up a 90 year old paraplegic, which is something 20 odd year old Mike Tyson probably wouldn't shy away from anyway.

The system has an endless amount of carrots, all lies though. But they always have arguments that make you look like the lazy or stupid one. "If you learned how to invest", "if you started your own business", "if you studied STEM" etc...

The only "real" thing that works is salesmanship. When you start a company you have to sell investors a vision, because that's all you literally have to offer: a promise of a return through your business idea.

You then take all of this money that people just give you, because they bought into you, and you hire a bunch of experts and professionals to do the actual meat and potatoes work, while you manage them.

Fast forward several years, and you become an industry player and possibly a publicly traded company, and if you're a real good salesman, a household name.

That still proves my initial point though. To even become a person that has the opportunity to sell investors a vision, you need to be SERIOUSLY connected. Either already rich, a relative to a rich person etc... You could be an expert in your field and nobody's gonna buy shit from you if you're not connected.

So true.

If you look at most hot startups, the founder always attended some expensive college. That means his family was rich so he didn't have to worry if it failed

Even normal Hedge funds can't win. You're fighting against these massive institutions with supercomputer ai helping them

STEM doesn't pay, what kind of convoluted cope is that ?
STEM pays but it's exaggerated. From what people preach, you'd think you'll go into STEM and live a sweet life. But it's not like that at all. You'll just end up working long hours like the rest of the slaves, for slightly more pennies. That's if you find a job at all.

Hard work and being self made.

Biggest scam in the history of the universe.

True.
I'm independent and have to come by with 10 dollars daily for everything, food, clothing and rent.
It's well below the poverty line.
Most people live in a fantasy world, real life is cruel.

For every 1 person that makes it, 10,000 people get into life-destroyer debt that forces them to become a wage-slave and spend the next few decades locked into working in a job they hate to pay off their debt which they obtained through trying to start their business.

But nobody thinks about that, they just remember the 1 guy that temporarily made it.

If everyone started a business, then there would be no employees. You know society is fucked when being a rich chad is the minimum to get with women.

i dont want to live as a a wagecuck, so i do the only thing i can do, i half ass everything and most days i do barely any work, i mostly do stuff on the internet or play surviv.io to train for fortnite

I'll inherit a farm/ranch in my balkan country. I'll move there eventually and be my own boss.
Cleaning up cow shit is infinitely better than being a wagecuck.
I'll be poor, but it's better than being a slave.
Being your own boss is priceless in this world.

Amen brother. Although I wouldn't personally do that in my country. You see stuff like this all the time on the news, guy/old man moves to the country, weeks later they burn his farm down and murder him.

I'm in Croatia. I've never heard of something like that happening here.
Our hillbillies are decent hard-working people. Better than city fags at least.

There's a 1/1000 or less success rate with starting a profitable business that pays more than the same job you could have gotten.

And usually those with the skills and intelligence to successfully start a business could have gotten a high paying normie job anyway.

Hold on to your hat, the next recession will be a killer.

Dude having your own business works! If you open 1000 of them and 1 does not fail rather makes no profit or loss. Having your own business is a gamble.

True. Major examples are Musk and Gates. Both had parents with money.

I'm trying to become an entrepreneur and start my own business so let me retort with the main reason I keep trying.

When you get a job, the purpose of your life becomes to make other people rich. If they didn't make money from your work, they would not hire you. So if you have a job, you already know 100% that your work is automatically more valuable than what you are being paid.

For most people, the job they have is their identity. The first question anyone will ask you is "what you do for a living?". And if you work for somebody other than yourself, the answer should be "I am a slave who makes money for my slavemaster".

The game is rigged. Having a job guarantees you will never be rich and have to work for the rest of your life in servitude to make other people extremely wealthy. Owning a business is the only way out. If you're successful you get to earn all the value from the work you do and your earnings aren't capped to an arbitrarily chosen number.

Normie advice falls flat on its own, always.
Especially when it comes to business, there's a reason why there is such a small percentage of ppl who hold almost all the money in the world. It's difficult af to make buxx in your own. You either find a creative loophole or just straight up build a business with your own wallet.

its the capitalist dream to keep you happy to slave away
