It depends on my first play through of a game I put it on the hardest difficulty but after beating I like to find as many exploits as possible
I had to cheat to beat a boss in an RPG once, fuck resource management and optimal equipment, just let me continue the story.

I play fair as the cost of cheating is too much for what benegit it gives.

A win, some rage from opponets.

Possible bans, making the game less welcoming to new players, having mpre players cheat, ect.
I rarely cheat in single player. In multiplayer, if some faggot pisses me off, I'll gladly toggle on and kick their ass. I usually don't, for the most part.
