it just seems like I'm not built for academia at all.
nothing gets through my head and even when I pass a test its with a passing grade at best.

I mean first and second year classes or third and fourth year classes. Some people struggle the first years because of weed out classes, and you’re also just getting used to actually studying.

I did calculus and currently wrapping up Linear algebra.

dunno i spent most time studying at home so i think the secret is to never attend classes because then you are wasting time that you could use to relax or study on your own on other days. sadly only half the courses offered online material like videos and uploading exercises.

best is to study with someone who is poled differently from you the same courses wherever possible. then you can help each other out when you derp hard and try to research for answers.

let's face it tho all jobs are a giant waste of time. and so is studying.
