Not OP but I notice my mom constantly correcting my dad (when it's not needed - when everyone knows what he means) and making comments like how he never does a thing correctly and she has to constantly remind me. Also, if he tries to take care of something and it doesn't go exactly perfect, she will bring it up over and over. My parent's house has a slight drainage problem where water collects in the backyard. Who. The. Fuck. Cares. But my mom will bring it up and say how he should have known before the house was built - this near million dollar house that she gets to live in, by the way. And there are just 1000 things that are exactly like that.

People here sometimes talk about "what if you ascended" - this is what you'd be getting. It's basically abuse. Sure, it's not the overt physical violence that women love to claim they're the victims of. But it's a slow burn of mild bullying that just wears away your psyche over the years.
