I'm trying to find a some stuff to do to cope with my miserable life. Hobbies, stuff to do, state of mind, anything.


What are you guys' best copes?

Painting, I bought a video game that's a tutorial for painting and now I paint and cringe at the result.
 
Playing guitar and bass are probably the best one I have because you can't think about anything else while you're doing that, your mind goes blank and you're just playing the instrument. So maybe try an instrument, doesn't have to be guitar it can be anything. Also getting into a tv series you can watch every night can be pretty good, I would suggest Hannibal as a #1. Lastly if you want you could get into lucid dreaming, I've never really gotten much into it but if you look up things to do and figure out how it works you can get to a point where you lucid dream every night, then sleeping becomes arguably best cope.
 
Tbh ded srs history is a cope and a time killer for ldaring if you’re interested in it

I second musical instruments. Learning guitar myself. Also reading factual things (not bullshit fantasy novels) and learning foreign language. Anything that requires you to really focus. Exercising is great too but you don’t need focus for that. I am trying to get into hobbies that involve other people to see what will happen. Might try archery.
 
Mental:

Think about how my life could be worse, ie I could be a starving kid in africa, a burns victim, amputee, disabled, retarded.
Think about the good things I do have in my life (roof over my head, computer, internet, nice parents who give me money)

Physical:

Gymcel
Learn music instrument
Learn to draw/paint
Go on long walks
Take drugs/drink alcohol
 
Writing. Easy way to vent and escape reality, to share your views and feels. Also, as a result, you could produce something fun and entertaining for people to enjoy. Of course, practice needed.

Card games. Too bad I have no friends now to play them.

Jogging. Your minimal physical activity. Now, while I am a NEET, I try to jogg for 5 km per day.

Cartoons (not only anime, but western cartoons). Toons really helped me to fight depression and suicidal thoughts about 5 years ago. Now they don't help any more, but it was fun ride.

For me playing/watching tennis and playing guitar/listening to metal music. I also love movies and film analysis. You have to genuinely love something for it to be an effective cope.
 
Guitar and online piano while listening to musics so I can play the melody. So yeah musicmaxxing and hearing deep meaningful lyrics Masturbation maxxing and pornstarmaxxing are also my copes
