Discussion Which Godfather film is better?

As of late, I've been obsessed with the Godfather. A local theater is going to be playing the Godfather 2, and I plan on attending a screening. As for which one is better, it's hard to say. The first one is more iconic and has a more straightforward plot, but the second one has the dual storyline with young Vito, and Michael's descent into darkness is much more profound.

I ended up choosing the second one for the reasons I listed above.

Yeah, you need to be able to pay attention. Part of the reason the scenes are so long and detailed is to give it a sense of realism. Last time I watched the first one, I had to watch it over 3 days.
