I suppose having weed or knives is a bad idea if they're presumably stopping people on the street, but there's nothing they can do if you say that you're out for groceries or for your allotted daily exercise. The worst that can happen is a £30 fine.

Some of the continental European whores are stuck in the UK because of a combination of border controls, quarantine regulations, and reduced flight capacity. A lot of them are renting and working out of central London apartments that they otherwise wouldn't be able to afford. I've spent so much time in London this academic year, with the UCU strikes last November and this February, and the pandemic now, I've only had a few weeks of actual class. Many unis made the decision to transition to online teaching 2-3 weeks ago, I don't remember exactly.

But I don't think there are any unis in the UK that still plan on having in-person classes or exams, everything is online now. Libraries, offices etc are all shut down. The only buildings still open are accommodations and medical research labs.

The groceries situation has gotten better over the last couple of days. Still a pain in the ass to line up though, and if you're shopping in the afternoon and evenings you might still not get your favourite pasta.

They won't give better service proactively but the one I saw told me that she's only getting one client a day in the last couple of weeks, so they'll probably be less physically exhausted as opposed to when they were fucking 3-4 clients a day.

During the harsh economic times in the 70s, a lot of scousers, Mancunians and people from other northern industrial cities moved down to the southwest because there were no more production jobs up north as they were all being exported to Asia. There weren’t any jobs down there either, but I guess they figured that it’s better to be jobless and poor in a quaint seaside area than in a grim industrial city. Anyway, the medium sized towns in the SW (the villages are still lovely but you won’t find hookers there) are infested with people of this stock to this day.

In what used to be quaint strawberry and cream eating English country towns became chav infested backwaters in a matter of years. You’ll see pregnant women pushing strollers, carrying six-packs home whilst puffing on a fag.

The reason I think these women actually look worse than their northern forbears is the fact that the modicum of cosmopolitanism that comes with living in a built up area puts more pressure on the population to remain attractive.
