For us, the deformed ones, we have dug into our depths again and again—instropecting, contemplating, scrutinizing. But what really calls us to this venture? What in us really wishes to exhume the soil and reveal the abyss beneath the crust of the Earth to meet with the worms and the corpses? Have we not retreated into the darkness for long enough to block out the sun and avoid its rays? Is it not cooler and quieter in these caverns so that we may sleep?
It is known to us that the most beautiful and noble among men and all the beasts of nature appear to us as depthless. Frivolous are they, and only appearances do they bother themselves with, murmur the ugly ones! But what are our depths to them, a pit one ought to avoid, lest they fall in and become stuck? Verily, a rich inner life does not seem to come easily to the beautiful and blessed few, for they who soak up all the warmth of the sun do not want it! It is for the deformed ones, the pale-skinned ones, the sickly ones, who seek sanctuary from the scorching of great stars.
Thus I counsel you, fellow incels, do not think of yourself as superior for your depths, for this exposes its origins in your very inferiority—your ugliness.
