I almost got scammed on a dating site once - the person running the profile pretended to be a girl who was almost 18, and tried to extort me for talking to a "minor". Later realized the pictures were totally fake - I quit online dating sites after that incident to protect my identity. It is, unfortunately, completely over for me.
