Inspired by another recent thread. I'm going there in a couple months, just wondering if the internet would be good enough so I can play games on my computer. I have a 80% chance that I'll be going out of state, really far away, and I'm not sure if my parents are gonna follow me. I really would hate to ditch my Steam account for 4+ years, because I've spent so much money on it.

You can but it will be hard to find time. If one of your suitemates game they might bring a ps4 to uni and you can play Cod or fifa or some other normie game on it maybe once a week.

Be more specific. Online games like?

TF2, CS:GO, etc.

Only on weekends. Laptop will do fine for a lot of strategy games.

Just browse Incels.me I guess.

Can't I just bring my desktop and a separate router?

That'll do. If you dorm, the uni will most surely have wi-fi. If you get off-campus housing, depending on where you lease, you'll need the router. I'm assuming you live in North America or Europe, so you'll be fine with internet access.
