I'd say the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my entire life was when I was about 8-years-old. I was playing tag with one of my Mother's friend's children in the backyard, and at the time, the backyard was in the process of a revamp; a new shed was being built and new concrete was being put it. When I was being chased, I accidentally tripped, fell, and slammed my head into the sharp corner of a big slab of concrete. To this very day, I remember the blood-curdling, painfully loud scream I made when that happened. I was taken to hospital overnight...

Over the last 11 years since then, I've been in many painful situations but none of them have ever come close to what happened on that day when I was 8.

Imagine spraining your ankle but the paint keeps on happening over and over and over....super humbling experience when its happening.

I'm half asian, all males on asian side of family have this, its also happened more frequently as i gain weight, started happening early 20's

It's like a form of arthritis and usually attacks the big toe, ankles or knees, your body doesn't properly filter out proteins or something and the joints mentioned get hardened crystals at them.....i don't know its terrible explanation. Have to take special medication to reduce inflammation and/or just lose weight/eat better. I don't drink alcohol or eat red meats which is supposed to trigger it, its genetic...
