Because through intellectualizing and rationalizing our cause we can make a change in this world, we can raise awareness of the inherently unfair system and change the outlook people have on us and our situation.

Meh, it depends. The right often claim to be in favor of freedom regarding the market. The far left is often very statist, so order and duty toward the state and the people prevail for them.

That's why political systems should not be - in my opinion - classified only through a left-right linear parameter. Depending on the ideology in case and it's tenets, a vectorial approach would be more appropriate.
However, for simplicity's sake, one could use this reductive linear system. The simpler the wording, the simpler to understand by the masses.

I don't know if they use "simpler" words and concepts in a pedagogic effort, or if they do it on purpose to prevent the mass to vote outside a certain kind of box that is often then reffered as the "moderated" candidate.
If people were really educated politically speaking, and voted according to their own sovereign interest, or according to what they juge best for society as a whole, I think there would be less people crawling in the street to witness non-sense meetings and then vote for the candidate because "he seemed like a nice guy and had a pleasant face" (literaly what happened with the election of Macron in France, jfl).
