I here so many people here claiming to be introverts and I don't think they realise what an introvert really is and how rare they are.

I garuntee you that if you were a normie in looks you would love socialising as you get treated like a normal human and actually based on your actions rather than you're looks (if you're average). It'd be like living in a completely different universe. You couldn't fathom what it's like to be able to go out there and socialise with people and actually gain positive reinforcement from doing so, so that is why so many people here claim to be introverts when they're not and they never even had a choice whether to be able to socialise with people a lot or not.

I disagree with the whole concept of the introvert extrovert dichotomy in popular culture. We all know it's a scale, you are more or less introverted than other people but nobody is a pure introvert or a pure extrovert.

Also there is a difference between being well liked and having friends, to being an introvert.

I am an introvert because even when I spend time with my friends after say 5 hours generally I start feeling drained. I have fun, I enjoy their presence and they enjoy mine, but eventually I just need to be alone and listen to some music. Meanwhile you can be an extrovert and still be not well liked, but you will constantly want to be with people.

This is an oversimplification, but I believe that:
Ugly + High introversion = Shunned by society, doesn't mind and becomes a hermit
Ugly + High extraverison = Shunned by society, becomes an attention seeker that some people put up with for short periods of time

Average + High introversion = Normie with some close friends, not a big social circle, people don't dislike him but they don't really know him
Average + High extraversion = Normie with a lot of friends, hangs out a lot

GL + High introversion = Very rare imo, but generally they are close friends with the most popular (See next) but not necessarily friends with all the most popular people's friends if that makes sense. As in, they only have a few close friends but those close friends are very popular
GL + High extraversion = Typical chad, the 'most popular' described in the previous section.

true, but maybe the reason I feel that way is that 99% of the time I'm the only one that gets bored. Like we could hang out from 1pm to 6pm and I would leave but other people would stay until 11pm.

This made me realize something, the opposite true for women. For example there is a cute girl at work i think would be a natural introvert but so many people approach her and shower her with attention that she has no choice other than to be extroverted.
