Imagine the following scenario :

Josh want to seduce Katy. For that he’s going to the gym. Think about all the different activities generated by that.

The gym’s rent must be paid by the business owner
Machines must be bought
Maintenance must happen
Cleaning
Plumbing, heating, electricity
Management
Taxes
Accountability
And probably a hundred other things are happening so that Josh can go to the gym.

Here’s the thing though : Katy doesn’t care about Josh’s abs. She finds him too short. He’ll never be able to get her no matter how hard he works at the gym. But he doesn’t know about it. There are millions of Joshes in the world, and millions of people whose paycheck depends on Josh’s false hope.

I took this specific example because it resonates with this platform's main preoccupation, ie : women. But the same could be said about all sorts of topics.

Someone doing something because he thinks that'll make him heatlier.
Someone doing something because he thinks that'll make him richer.

Reality is boring and depressing and people are constantly looking for ways to escape it.

I'd say that 90% of human activity is generated by people chasing dreams in a way or another.

Yeah people nowadays want children because it's their last glimmer of hope that their lives will fill up with meaning and willpower to get out of bed each morning. Guess what, it won't. In fact, your life might just become worse if you have a child cause not only you'll not find meaning but now you have to deal with another lil retarded human and you have to feed it for 20 years all while you're stuck with your wife that probably cheats on you and gets fatter, uglier and nastier every single year.
