Discussion Anybody else think that not all people can handle democracy?

You always see this with how the western nations try to force democracy onto third world nations and it usually leads to complete disaster. Kind of like what's going on in Hong Kong
Other eastern Europeans can probably relate to how the countries where in a better condition under authoritarian governments compared to their current democracies.
I dont understand why everybody has to live in a democracy, I'd say a ton of populces are better suited to live under a more iron fisted regime.

democracy worked fine in hk. in fact its the reason that it developed quicker than any other chinese city back in the day. the hk government is collapsing now because of their chinese overlords, not because of democracy
