the typical image we think of when we hear the words serial killer is an odd guy most likely with creepy glasses mustache or other weird features

No, ERcels are generally one-hit wonders. They have the element of surprise over their victims and that's it. Also most of them are trying to make a statement to society by killing a bunch of people at once.

Serial killing takes a level of social appeal and emotional intelligence to lure victims into situations where they can be killed without it being instantly traced back to the murderer, as well as remain clear of suspicion in between murders. Incels don't have that.
