Evil Alcoholic Virgin’, it almost sounds like a protagonist of some late-night 80’s B-movie horror, or some kind of 50 shades of Grey anti-hero. But no, this is a description by the Daily Mail (that bastion of righteousness) of a violent rapist from back in 2015.

Instead of just using the the perpetrator’s name, and having ‘Evil’ in front of it, the Daily Mail chose to point out two apparently unforgivable aspects of this (admittedly ‘Evil’) man’s life. His alcoholism and his virginity. It’s exactly this kind of subliminal messaging and negative stereotyping which further reinforces the view in society that being a virgin man later in life is something which is wrong, and that somehow all virgin men must have something wrong with them or be inherently wicked in some way.

Being a miserable virgin is enough, we can certainly do without sensationalist headlines from newspapers every time some piece of shit commits a crime but also happens to be a virgin, and giving their sexless status equal billing in the headline along with their ‘Evilness.’

I'm impressed he could control his urges until the age of 59.

Also mogger libido for being a granpa.

But I thought no one cared.

Yeah, like I always say, being a virgin as a man is the equivalent of being a varmint and it’s all to do with how modern women perceive sex and relationships. To them, the idea of chastity is patriarchal and narrow-minded, so the opposite of that is to constantly hate on men who are lonely, virgin, etc.
