I've came up with yet another thought. If Buddhism says life is suffering, and suffering is bad, then shouldn't suffering be removed entirely?

For example, if an animal doesn't exist, it doesn't have to be eaten or wounded in fighting.

Likewise, humans (especially incels) suffer a lot, and there's little positvity in our lives.

Shouldn't our plan be to remove suffering as much as possible? What if we could have a button that would remove this planet tommorow? No earth = no suffering (in earth) at least.

Does it actually say that in its scriptures or whatever? :feelshehe:

Even so, it is utterly unfeasible to attempt such a thing; needless suffering should instead be lessened as much as possible and migitated with all possible tools, as with I feel about the state of current hypergamy and discriminatory treatment towards subhumans, and the structural changes to society that would be required to both stop it and then prevent it from taking hold in us for the foreseeable future. :feelsjuice:

In Buddhism there are an infinite number of universes that keep coming into being and being destroyed. So if the Earth were destroyed, in their view it wouldn’t make a difference cause you’d be reborn somewhere else.

Congrats, you discovered Utilitarianism.

I would definitely press that button and any rational man should. Unfortunately, odds are less than 1% of the population would press that button.

I think Buddhism advocates more of a transcending of the suffering via eightfold path

"Why is the eightfold path so important?

It gives Buddhists a path they can follow to end suffering. However, these are not steps but rather eight guiding principles that suggest the way to end suffering and ultimately achieve enlightenment ."

That sounds good but the problem is, suffering isn't limited to humans, and animal suffer being eaten alive everyday. The most "humane" solutions would simply be to delete the planet

A future Christo-Buddhist Techno-Fascist state with automated robots for a military, domestic service, etc would be based af.
