So, after a couple of continuances, Chris Chan finally had a hearing, almost certainly finally deciding what happens to him, on Tuesday this week.
The result? Seems like he's out, and he's back online, playing Pokémon Go on his original console for the first time after two years of being offline just days after this hearing.
Those two Kiwifarmers have explained it better than I could, but apparently, this is truly the end for Chris' legal troubles at least for the time. After spending a year in jail and another year being monitored, he's apparently served the minimum for his misdemeanor charge, and now the system is releasing him to live in a group home, supervised and almost certainly with regular therapy sessions and with a court order to not contact Barb and so on, but yeah, for all intents and purposes, Chris Chan is free.
