This may sound like a brutal thing to say, but even though many Latinos have a very machista/manly culture, I always found many of them to seem less masculine in appearance.
I think it’s because many of them are very short in general; have little or no facial and body hair (indigenous genetics); some look very Asiatic (and sometimes get bullied for their looks); etc.
I’ve seen some Southern European and Middle Eastern women. Although they were attractive, they looked somewhat masculine for women, in general. I wonder if they see mestizos as inferior.
