Media Entertainment (movies, games, etc) from your childhood that was acclaimed but is now considered bad

For example everyone loved the film Hook when I was a kid but now people bash it.

We loved Episode 1 back then and now it's seen as bad.

Godzilla was seen as an impressive, fun movie but now is kind of seen as trash.

It's so weird, lol

I think phantom menace on its own is a top tier children's movie. Its only retrospective fault is being part of the Star wars franchise and young anakin being Darth Vader. Not that it matters to me since this movie introduced me to star wars

We saw it as a group of kids and teens and all loved it yeah

Came out of the cinema excited and talking about our favourite bits!

It never occurred to us that anyone might say it was bad.

I think it's one of those movies that's now seen as "OK".

At the time though yeah it was unique and pretty interesting and fun.
