An ice cream man from 1945 could pull in $100 a week. That is ~$1645 a week, or 85k a year adjusted for inflation. Compare that to 2022 ice cream man salary is roughly $29k.

So literally ice cream sellers in 1945 were earning 85k vs only 29k today!

Yes had Americans had even some sense of class solidarity, the world as a whole would be in a far better place.
