Israel's backed by the entire west and Palestine and the Muslim countries would probably only be able to send a small coalition force to defend their bank, hypothetically if you took the US out of the equation to there'd be no reason for Israel to exist and it'd be a unified state.

I'td be a cold war type scenario where it'd be high risk and low reward to even risk anything nuclear as well

They get foreign aid from the US for that exact reason. Egypt is the 2nd biggest recipient of foreign aid after Israel itself. So basically not just the foreign aid to Israel is wasted money that they can spend however they like unlike other countries (other countries have to buy US products with the foreign aid) but also the money that goes to Egypt is for Israels protection.
It's really disgusting because Israel has fucked over the USA many times like when they lied about making nukes, they also probably killed JFK because he wanted to send US inspectors every 2 years to make sure Israel wasn't making nukes. Or when they "accidentally" bombed the USSR.
