This reminds me of something I've thought about.

This game was from 2006. I didn't notice any propaganda. There was a very flamboyant character in the older games, Tingle, the character was very clearly straight though and into women. I don't have a problem with that, he is still one of my favorite characters.

In Breath of the wild (the 2016ish one) however, I noticed certain of aspects of it seemed ambiguously gay. The great Fairies in the game have massive hands and look like dragqueens, Link has to crossdress in order to enter a town of only women, Beetle looks like he's trans or something, They gave him a very short tanktop so short you could see his stomach (in previous games he either wore no shirt or short cowl thin with no hood) and very short shorts, and there's a guy Bolsen who is very gay.

It's all these small details of that game that make it seem like they're covertly trying to make it gay.
