For the last year and a bit, every time I caught myself having the typical "male gaze", I'd try to catch myself. I really hated how I saw females since I could only imagine how it'd feel to be seen as a sexual object rather than an individual. While I feel as though this definitely had a positive impact on my ability to befriend females, it's definitely been hard being more intimate with them since I force myself to basically not be attracted to them.
