I personally only enjoy this trope when they're fictional. It's INSUFFERABLE when it's in real life (or even worse, when women IRL try to ape its anime version).
I don't get it at all. I can at least somewhat relate to most kind of fetishes, I can try to imagine what it would be like to be aroused by w/e it is that another person gets hard for, but some are just complete misteries for me. Like gigantism, vore, scat and being humiliated & abused by a woman. I'm not even sure if it is a submissive kind of kink, where you get off on being helplessly humiliated, or if it is a fetish for men who want to dominate a woman, so they get off on the idea of punishing / raping / shutting up the woman who abuses them.
Reckon it depends from person to person. In my case I like this trope because in anime there is always love behind their actions. And it's playful. I personally don't like the more "extreme" aspects like humiliation and shit like getting kicked or stepped on, though. But I think that if you have exceptionally low self esteem, you might find it appealing.
