I doomposted this morning about 'Devin', an autonomous new AI software dev that can write, debug code and even run it's own AI systems recursively... In that post I joked about 'just learn welding theory' just fucking learn to weld surely that won't be replaced any time soon... Not even A DAY LATER and the development of an "AGI" robot with this level of articulation.

Having your own robot who can do menial tasks would be great. But their intelligence and whatever their manufacturing company has hardcoded into them is too scary. You'd have to confine them like a dangerous animal.
It's not that bad right now, but you can imagine their intelligence in 10 years just extrapolating the recent progress.

As far as the dozens of YouTube videos say it's real. It looks off because the movement is too smooth for our brain to register it as robotic I guess. This is EXTREMELY fresh information, only dropped about a few hours ago. There'll probably be more info out soon.
